NOTE: on IRC, a "nick" is your display name and a "channel" is the chatroom. 

Here's a few example commands. You may test them out by typing them in your chat window and press ENTER, just like a regular message. 

       /nick to change your display name.  EXAMPLE: /nick bob
        /me to describe doing stuff.  EXAMPLE: /me slaps bob with a large trout
        /join #channel to join a channel.  EXAMPLE: /join #itswar

 NOTE: Each team on itswar has its own private room which is locked with a key (which should be displayed on your STATS page).  To enter your team chat, /join channel KEY to get in.   EXAMPLE: /join #ohl turtleneck)

You do not need to register your nick, but its keep people from impersonating you, as well as grant other privilidges.

 To register your nickname (its free):

1. Change to a nick you wish to register.  EXAMPLE: /nick bob23
2. Type /ns register PASSWORD EMAIL   .  EXAMPLE:  /ns register fakepass example@yahoo.com
3. Confirm the email, and you are done:)
